Protection of Vulnerable Adults Training
This course will enable candidates to have a clear understanding of the concept of vulnerability and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults in a range of care settings, some of which are regulated under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
The course will focus in detail on the various forms that abuse can take, whilst distinguishing between its types and patterns of abuse.
Candidates will consider the definition of adult abuse and develop a clear understanding of who is a vulnerable adult and who the potential abusers are, and actions that are required. The training course is usually run over 4 hours however this can be bespoke to your company requirements. Certificate of attendance is issued to all candidates attending training and is valid for 1 year.
