Occupational Health Nurse (Qualified Nurse Practitioner) Stockport area
A vacancy has arisen for a part time Occupational Health Nurse for 3 days per week (with the possibility of extending hours). Health Surveillance Services has been providing high quality comprehensive Occupational Health to a variety of clients across the UK for many years. With their newly opened office and facilities in Stockport and the majority of customers being based in the North West, HSS are very highly regarded by their clients for excellent service and support. - Occupational Health Nurse
- 3 days per week
- Salary – Negotiable Pro Rata + benefits (Travel)
- North West Area
Mainly focusing on health surveillance, screening, case management for sickness absence reviews and vaccinations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Providing employment medicals, including hearing and vision screening, and health and fitness advice; updating medical records accordingly
- Communicating safety concerns to appropriate managers
- Maintaining employee health records and preparing ‘Fitness to Work’ reports
- Assisting in the conducting of accident investigations with Health & Safety
- Monitoring employee exposure to work place hazards such as dust, noise
- Writing for additional information from other health Professionals such as GP’s and consultants
- Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with Occupational Health and Safety
- Using expertise to ensure organisations meet legislative requirements
- Conducting a range of assessments and inspections, in conjunction with regulations, such as display screen equipment (DSE, Working at Height Medicals etc
Essential: Registered nurse ideally holding an OH qualification but this is not essential as full Training will be given to right candidate.
